No visit to the Pikes Peak region is complete without a trip to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Experience unforgettable adventures combining breathtaking mountain scenery with more than 750 animals from around the world, including the opportunity to hand-feed our magnificent giraffe herd (the largest of any zoo in the world). Get in touch with your wild side at our new African Rift Valley exhibit, an experience you won't find anywhere else. It's a wildly interactive, giraffe feeding, monkey loving, meerkat watching, wild kingdom of fun! Voted "Best Place for Family Fun" Cheyenne Mountain Zoo returned to “winter” hours of operation effective September 2. The Zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., with the last admission of the day at 4 p.m. My Big Backyard, with its animal contact area, tree house and oversized flowers, remains open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (The animal contact yard is open as weather permits.) Pony rides are offered daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting. Budgie Buddies are now open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the full exhibit immersion and feeding experience for guests available until the end of October. In November guests access to budgies in the exhibit will be restricted by a barrier, though feeding of the budgies will continue. The Zoomobile and tram operate on weekends only, again, as weather permits.

GROUP RATES
Groups of 15 or more can receive up to 25% off regular Zoo admission prices. Group rates are not valid with other discounts or coupons, and we are unable to accept passes in place of admission fees for these rates. These rates also apply to daycare centers, pre-schools, church groups and other groups that are not Colorado K-12 schools.

School Admission Rates
Colorado K-12:

$5 per person (adults and children of all ages). Plus one free adult for every 10 students.
