History plays an important and interesting role in the historic El Colorado Lodge. At the time the lodge was built most travelers carried their own bed rolls. We were the first to offer sheets on our beds. The lodge had various Indian dances performed by the Little Deer Family and original Indian art painted on the walls is still there to be enjoyed by our guests. We also have the original hanging light fixtures and beamed ceilings, as well as several pieces of furniture from the El Colorado's early days.
Our guests enjoy the largest heated swimming pool in Manitou Springs, a basketball court, shuffleboard court, playground, picnic area, and an enormous BBQ grill. Our pavilion allows your group to enjoy the fresh Colorado air while visiting with your friends and family.

The Timber Lodge is dedicated to providing friendly, efficient service in a unique and truly Colorado environment. Accommodations include twenty-four single and duplex cabins situated on four-acres, bordering a stream. A refreshing change from large chain hotels.
The Timber Lodge is located on the far west side of Colorado Springs, right on the border of the historic town of Manitou Springs. We offer picnic tables and barbeques throughout the property and a safe playground area for children. Our heated pool is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
Our cabins feature rustic exteriors and comfortable modern interiors with all the comforts of home. Color/cable TV, direct dial phones, heating and air conditioning and daily housekeeping service are all included. Fourteen of our 24 Cabins offer kitchenettes stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, pans, coffee maker and toaster. Linens and towels are also provided.
Family Reunions Are Our Specialty - During the Summer Season we have a 15 cabin minimum for Family Reunions.
